Who's Behind Tutoring-Expert.com?

I'm Erin O'Briant, MFA, author of the guidebook Be a Great Tutor and the novel Glitter Girl.

I'm a master tutor who has worked one-on-one with hundreds of students in lots of subjects, from fractions to literature. I've supervised top-notch study group leaders at City College of San Francisco, and for two years I ran my own private practice working with students of all ages.

On this site, I share my insights about tutoring with parents and students seeking help and with tutors who want to be their best.

I'm a Professor of English at City College of San Francisco. I have a BA from Emory University in Religion and an MFA from Goddard College in Creative Writing. In addition to teaching and writing, I'm pursuing a second graduate degree at Stanford University.
