My senior year at the United States Air Force Academy the math department informed me that a local high school student was looking for a female geometry tutor. At the time the student was getting a 70% in the class and was struggling to get that.

I began tutoring once a week and an extra session two days before any test. Within two months she had earned her first ever A on a math test and after the final her grade was a high B.
