Passing grade 12 math to move on to university!

While I was working in a small town of 2000 residents, I was contacted by a parent of a student in crisis! " He needs help, or he cannot move onto university"!!! Those were her first few words to me. Unfortunately, this small town was in short supply of high school math teachers, and so they had recently asked the english teacher to teach math! Ofcourse, many of the students that year were barely getting by and had fears of not being able to make it to university! I worked hard with this particular student to not only help him pass with a high grade, but to get him excited about math and education again. 6 months later, he showed up at my office with a thank you card and his acceptance letter to university! One of the most rewarding days in my career! Both his and my hard work had paid off!
